Proceeds help fund the PC Foundation for the benefit of the College and its students.

General Information

The Porterville College Foundation Swap Meet welcomes anyone interested in becoming a Swap Meet vendor every Saturday (weather permitting). Swap Meet vendor spaces are limited to 400 spaces per Saturday.

vendor guidelines

  • HOURS OF OPERATION The Swap Meet Hours of operation are from 8:00 AM– 2:00 PM.
  • ARRIVAL Vendors may arrive no earlier than 5:00 AM; the Allowed unloading time is 5:30 AM. New vendors not in a space by 7:30 AM will not be allowed to enter the Swap Meet.
  • DEPARTURE The Swap Meet is officially closed at 2:00 PM. All vendors must vacate their space by 4:00 PM
  • TRASH DISPOSAL Trash must be taken to avoid trash problems. Please leave the space as clean as it was provided to you ( Please remember trashcans in the Swap Meet rows are for customer use only ). All vendors are expected to discard their own trash. *A $25.00 fee will be charged to any vendor leaving trash within their space parameters.
  • SPACE ACTIVITY Spaces are 20'deep x 20' wide and clearly marked orange; vendors must stay within these parameters. Vendors' vehicles must be within their selling space. Fines will be imposed on vendors, not in their space. A $25.00 fee will be charged to any vendor not staying within their space parameters.


*Please note – operating rules, including fees, terms, and conditions, are subject to change without notice. Any vendor found in violation of the Swap Meet rules or regulations may be warned, given a violation, fined, and required to leave the premises immediately without reimbursement.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

DIRECTRICES PARA VENDEDORES

  • HORARIO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO El horario de funcionamiento del Swap Meet es de 8:00 a. m. a 2:00 p. m. LLEGADA Los vendedores serán admitidos después de las 5:30 AM. Espacios no ocupados a las 7:30 AM serán revendidos. Los nuevos vendedores que no estén en un espacio a las 7:30 a. m. no podrán ingresar al Remate.
  • PARTIDA El Remate se cierra oficialmente a las 2 P.M. Todos los vendedores deben limpiar y desocupar sus espacios para las 4:00 P.M.
  • DISPOSICION DE BASURA Al retirarse los vendedores deben llevarse toda su basura. Por favor, deje el espacio limpio como lo recibió. ( Recuerde que los basureros del Remate son para los clientes ). Todos los vendedores tienen que llevarse toda su basura. *Se multará $25.00 a cualquier vendedor que deje desperdicios en su espacio de venta.
  • ACTIVIDAD DE ESPACIOS Los espacios son 20’ de hondo x 20’ de ancho y están claramente marcados en naranjado. Los vendedores deben limitarse adentro del 20’ x 20’ espacio sin pasarse de las rallas naranjadas. Los vehículos de los vendedores deben estacionarse dentro de sus espacios de venta. Se multará $25.00 a cualquier vendedor que traspase sus espacios de venta.

Prohibited Vendor Sales

The following items are prohibited from being sold at swap meets by the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency and the Porterville College Foundation Board of Directors:

  • Contact Lenses
  • Small red-eared turtles
  • Medical injectables, such as Penicillin
  • Foreign Prescription Drugs (from Mexico, Canada etc.)
  • Wild Animal Parts
  • Fire Arms
  • Pornographic materials
  • Alcoholic beverages/drugs/tobacco or tobacco products
  • Gambling and related gaming
  • Stolen property
  • Illegally-duplicated copyrighted materials
  • Cheese
  • Chicken
  • Eggs
  • Body piercing of any type
  • Tattoos or application thereof
  • Drug related paraphernalia
  • Haircuts/hair extensions
  • Body Massage

How to become a swap Meet Vendor?

Swap Meet vendor spaces are limited to 400 spaces per Saturday. In the event that all spaces are filled, the Swap Meet Director and Supervisors will maintain a waiting list of interested vendors for potential openings. As spaces become available, vendors who are first on the waiting list will be notified or the opportunity.

seller's permit

All vendors must have an active ‘Seller’s Permit’ from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA). The permit must list the college address as the place of business (100 E. College Ave., Porterville, CA 93257). Vendors must bring a copy of the permit as well as a valid form of identification upon entering the premises.

Health Permit (Food VEndors)

The permitting and inspection process is authorized and conducted by Tulare County Environmental Health (TCEH). All vendors of any food product must have a valid Tulare County Health Permit. The permit must be with them at all times when food is available for sale. Produce vendors cannot cut, prepare or dispense food or samples. The permitting and inspection process helps ensure that all food offered for sale is wholesome and comes from approved sources.
