50 for 50 Campaign

The Porterville College Foundation is turning 50 and we want to commemorate this milestone with alumni, faculty, staff and the community.

The Foundation was originally established on September 1, 1970 as the Porterville College Patrons Foundation. Founded by a group of community members who wanted to establish an organization to support student success through a scholarship program.

Since its inception, the Foundation has made considerable contributions to Porterville College, its students and the community. Highlights include:

  • Annual Scholarship & Awards Ceremony - Celebrating 52 years of giving!
  • PC Foundation Swap Meet operating locally for over 30 years.
    • Swap Meet income supports student scholarships and provides work experience opportunities to PC students.
  • PC First Scholarship Program - Awarding $40,000 - $50,000 annually to fund scholarships for first-time PC students for over 20 years.
    • Fully funded by PC Foundation Swap Meet.
  • Science, Math and Resource (SMART) Lab Program - Operating for over 20 years providing STEM education to K-12 students throughout Tulare County.
  • Financial support for the digital marquee on Hwy 190.
  • Grant funding and endowments to support college programs and departments.
  • Campus beautification projects adding benches and tables throughout campus.
  • Financial support for the Porterville College Veterans Monument.
